2024 - Strategic Communications + Content Creation + Brand Management

Building a communications plan from the ground up

Bishops Bay Country Club, Middleton

Bishops Bay brought me on as its first Director of Communications in April of last year to evaluate and assess the Club’s communication needs, identify challenges, and develop a comprehensive strategy for addressing all of the above. My goal was not just to tackle immediate gaps, but to create a forward-thinking plan that would lead us through the next five years.

The result: a 25-page communications plan that empowers the entire leadership team, a new blog with frequent content, and a media-driven strategy designed to enhance the member experience and drive engagement.

2018 - Brand Development + Strategic Communication + Content Creation

Home in Wayne

Wayne County Economic Development Corporation

The Wayne County EDC initially sought a tourism-style video to promote the county for business and talent attraction. Instead of simply producing a video, I proposed a bold, comprehensive marketing campaign centered around a website with resources, interactive maps, networking opportunities, goal-driven content, billboards, and more. What began as a video request evolved into Home in Wayne, a fully branded local marketing initiative.

The campaign’s success led the East Indiana Regional Partnership to hire our team to replicate the approach for all of East Central Indiana—an effort that became Forge Your Path.

2022 - Building Community Engagement + Content Creation

Repairing and growing corporate culture through communications

Elanco Animal Health, indiana

As a Communications Specialist and Media Producer at Elanco Animal Health, I spearheaded the development of the largest internal brand-building initiative in company history. The goal was to strengthen corporate culture and foster community following significant changes, including Elanco’s transition to a publicly traded company, major acquisitions, and workforce reductions.

The result was Elanco 4 Me, a global initiative designed to connect employees across both departments and continents through shared conversations and storytelling. By highlighting ground-level employees—voices often absent from company-wide communications—we created a more inclusive dialogue through podcasts, videos, written features, quote cards, and more.

As this was an internal initiative, I’m unable to share examples of the work but am happy to discuss it in more detail.

2020 - Brand Development + Management

Helping a hospice provider rebrand and relaunch

EverHeart Hospice, Ohio

Over the course of seven months, I worked to help a hospice provider called State of the Heart Care rebrand itself as EverHeart Hospice. The project involved internal focus groups with employees, external focus groups and interviews with strategic partners, work with the board of directors, and the proposal of new brand identities for the team to choose from. After a decision was made on the new brand direction, I worked to create content to define and launch the brand, including testimonial videos.

2025 - AI + Data

Leveraging AI to solve complex challenges

Personal exploration

I’ve been experimenting with AI tools since they first became widely available. Earlier this year, I developed several Script UI plugins for the animation software I use, including one that streamlines color management, allowing for quick adjustments across projects. This is just one of several AI-driven projects I’ve undertaken to enhance my workflow, expand my capabilities, and work more efficiently. I look forward to finding innovative ways to utilize the technology in the future.
