I was hired as Bishops Bay’s first dedicated Marketing and Communications Director to help the Club strengthen member communications, improve planning across departments, and bring a more professional media and messaging strategy to a growing private club environment.

In this role, I developed a comprehensive 36-page communications plan that established clearer expectations for newsletters, social media, event promotion, department requests, and larger member-facing initiatives. The goal was to reduce guesswork, create consistency across departments, and make communication more useful for both members and staff.

My work has included professional photo and video production, event promotion, member updates, capital assessment communications, board-related messaging, newsletter strategy, social media planning, and ongoing support for department heads across club operations.

What I Bring to a Club

Private clubs require a different kind of communicator. The work is part marketing, part member relations, part internal coordination, part storytelling, and part operational support.

I bring the ability to organize that complexity. I can work with GMs, boards, department heads, committees, and frontline staff to turn varied needs into clear communication plans, stronger member-facing materials, and a more consistent voice across the Club.

I also bring a lot of technical skills: significant media production experience, including being a licensed and insured drone operator, professional copywriting experience, web design, and graphic design.

Professional photo and video content has become a major part of my work at Bishops Bay. As member expectations continue to evolve, clubs need communications that feel as polished and thoughtful as the experience they provide in person. Building a stronger media library has helped us promote events, celebrate member experiences, and create reusable content that supports future programming.

About me

I’m an award-winning marketing and communications professional with 15 years of experience across private clubs, higher education, healthcare, finance, economic development, destination marketing, and agency work. Earlier in my career, I spent nine years in agency environments, where I worked with national brands, regional organizations, and small to mid-sized businesses throughout Indiana and Wisconsin.

My strengths are messaging strategy, brand development, systems thinking, creative direction, and professional media production. I’m especially effective in organizations where communication touches many departments and needs to become clearer, more consistent, and easier to manage.

My wife and I are planning to relocate to the Indianapolis area to be closer to family, and I’m interested in opportunities with private clubs and hospitality-driven organizations throughout Indiana.
